The GE IS420UCPAH2A is a Controller Program with Integral I/Os, the second such model in GE’s Mark VIe Turbine Control System Series. Tailored for gas, steam, and wind turbine control, the Mark VIe Series is highly valued in industrial automation as one of GE’s final Mark lines to integrate patented Speedtronic technology—first introduced with the 1960s Mark I. 


Physically, the controller is a single-module assembly mounted directly on a sheet metal panel, composed of three core components: the IS400BPPCH2A Processor Board, IS400STWCH1A Input/Output Board, and IS400WEXPH1A I/O Expansion Board. The IS400WEXPH1A is key to its expanded I/O functionality, distinguishing it from earlier UCPA controllers. It operates on a 12V DC nominal power supply with Class II protection and requires input terminal wiring no longer than 98 feet. The module includes diagnostic LEDs: DIO1-8 and Pulse 1/2 LEDs and an ATTN LED. These LEDs enable real-time monitoring of the controller’s performance, supporting quick troubleshooting.
